What you need to know before purchasing one of our Internet shops.

Please read the following terms & conditions associated with purchasing one of our online internet shops.

Terms & Conditions

1) We do not provide any stock for your online store. This must be taken care of by you.

2) You are responsible for adding the stock & photographs to your store. We offer a fast track system where we can provide staff to input your data,  however this is an additional service and will be priced according to each individual case.

3) You do not own the software to your store or the right to sell the software and your store must be hosted on our servers. You are free to sell your store to any individual as an ongoing business concern but upon selling your business, you must inform the buyer about the terms and conditions of owning one of our Internet based shops and you must contact DevonComputerHelp.com before the shop is transferred so that we can change over the ownership details.

4) DevonComputerHelp.com has the right to remove your Internet store from the web should it break any statuary laws relating to the country you are selling in.

5) DevonComputerHelp.com will not tolerate the sale of counterfeit goods via one of our online stores and will remove any store that attempts to sell counterfeit goods.

6) Internet stores that are found to provide a consistently poor service i.e. Delivery times exceeding 30 days beyond the stated time, wrongly described goods or extremely poor customer service will be sent a written warning and given one month to improve the service. If after one month the service has not improved then the store will be removed.

7) DevonComputerHelp.com do not guarantee that your store will be placed with in the top pages of any search engine. Whilst DevonComputerHelp.com have made every effort to ensure that your shop has the best possible chance of achieving high rankings, technologies change & search engine criteria's can change which can have drastic effects on ranking positions.

8) Unless you choose to take out our additional upgrade plus package, any updates provided for your store will be down to the discretion of DevonComputerHelp.com

9) If your store is removed by DevonComputerHelp.com for breaking any of the above conditions, then you have 30 days with which to appeal. (We will use an independent service to arbitrate) If you do not appeal within 30 days of being removed from our servers or your appeal is not successful then your store will be permanently removed and your fees will not be refunded.

Store Design and page updates / additions.

Update your shop via our easy to use online administration section. You can add up to 10 independent pages and change your sites appearance as often as you like.

If you would like us to create new pages for you then DevonComputerHelp.com provides a cost effective service with prices starting from £15 per hour. Average page build time if graphics and text are provided is 1 hour.

All logos, graphics and text for your store must be provided by yourself and it is your responsibility to make sure that you do not break any copyright laws regarding the use of any graphics, music or content placed on your store.

Changing Store colours and graphics within your store once your shop has gone live.

Our Internet Shops provide an easy to use online administration section which allows you to change the overall colour of pages, border colours, text colours and text fonts and specify a top banner for your site as often as you like. More in-depth changes will require the use of our web page building service. Prices start from £15 per hour.

Web Hosting

You shop will be hosted on our servers, which are based in America and have a 99.9% up time record. This means that your site will be visible 99.9% of the time due to the reliability of our hosting company. Our service includes unlimited storage space and there are no hidden costs for bandwidth usage. You will be billed each year for hosting services by DevonComputerHelp.com. The cost of hosting is from £55.00 per year and includes domain name renewal (providing the name was registered through us). We also guarantee no price rises for 3 years.

Domain Name Registration

If you provide your own domain name then there are no fees for domain name registration / transfer to our servers and it is your responsibility to keep up the payments for your domain name.

If we register your chosen domain name then the name will be transferred to your ownership and the yearly renewal charge is included in the Hosting charges.

Accepting online Credit Card Payments

Our Shop solutions are designed to integrate with PayPal & Google shopping cart systems. In order for your internet shop to accept online credit card payments, you must set up an account with one of the above mentioned services. If you are new to online trading then you will require a valid bank account & Debit / Credit card before you can set up one of these accounts.

DevonComputerHelp.com can help you set up these accounts if you are new to online trading. PayPal & Google payments are FREE to set up.

Accounts

Our Internet Shop package offers a simple way of tracking your sales, however DevonComputerHelp.com strongly recommend that you keep a hard copy version of all accounts detailing sales & customers.

All packages offer basic accounting with the additional ability to charge VAT on your goods. Out put of accounts is via a text /Excel file or you can use a printer to obtain a hard copy to help aid with your shop administration.

Inland Revenue & Taxes

It is your responsibility to keep accurate accounts for your new online shop and inform the relevant authorities within your country about starting your business and paying any taxes that you may incur. The standard Internet shop includes a facility for VAT. If your turnover is expected to exceed your countries VAT threshold then it is possible to charge VAT using our shop systems. If you only accept payment by credit cards (highly recommended) then PayPal / Google will store a record of all your transactions which will aid you in preparing your annual accounts.
