Q) What can I sell with one of your shops?

A) You can sell just about anything that you would normally sell in a high street shop. The only requirement from us is that it must be legal within the UK and your products must abide by UK & EU regulations.

Q) £99.00 sounds very cheap for an online shop?

A) You are paying for a no thrills way to dip your toe into the world of Internet trading. Our shops are perfect for building up an Internet presence and familiarizing yourself with trading online. After all £99.00 is not a lot of advertising in a local paper, let alone going national or worldwide!

When you find that your business has outgrown our basic shop then you can either pay us to create a custom package for your business or you can find a more suitable package elsewhere.

Q) Are there any hidden costs, such as hosting, picture fees, storage limits or commission charges for sales?

A) Absolutely no! £99.00 is all you pay for the first year. Every year after that will be charged at £55.00 to cover webhosting, domain name renewal and maintenance and this price is fixed for 3 years.

Q) Do I have to pay fees for taking credit card payments?

A) Yes, you will have to pay either PayPal or Google fees for processing every credit card transaction, however you do not pay a penny to us no matter how may transactions you do through your shop.

Q) How long will it take my shop to be listed in Google?

A) Normally your shop will be listed within 2 weeks of it going live, however we do not guarantee this as we do not own Google and have no hot line to their control center.

Q) Can I get my site onto the first page of Google for my chosen search term?

A) Yes & No is the answer to this question. Yes it is possible with one of our shops to get listed at the number one position on the first page of Google for a chosen search phrase and this has been done. However it depends very much on what search phrase you are going for and how much work you are prepared to do. Common search phrases such as 'jewellery', 'cars', 'fancy dress'  return in excess of 5,000,000 pages, that is a potential 5,000,000 pages all trying to make it onto the top page of Google!

Q) I am new to online trading, will I have to learn programming to change my site or add a product?

A) No, you do not need to know how to program in order to use our internet shop. You can add products, change page colours, fonts, font size and background pictures via our simple to use control panel.

Q) Do I have to host my Internet shop on your servers?

A) Yes you do. The programming behind the shop remains the property of DevonComputerHelp.com and when you buy a shop from us you are effectively leasing a virtual shop and space to promote your products.

Q) Does this mean that I can not transfer my business to another company?

A) No, If you buy another package or build your own site then you can transfer the name to your new site without incurring any additional costs from us.

The data stored from our shops can easily be exported to common packages such as Excel or Access and from there it should be possible to import that information into your new shop.

Q) Do I get updates for my shop?

A) Security Updates & bugs that are found and rectified are free. Shop UPGRADES are down to our discretion and major updates such as added facilities for accounting etc may incur a charge however you will not be obliged to except the upgrade and we will notify you of any charges in advance of us offering you the upgrade.
